Memorial: Bliss, formerly Rebecca (#247)

Crossed the Rainbow Bridge May 19, 2009

It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of our sweet girl, "Bliss". Adopted from Golden Bond in 2002 from "foster mom" Patty, we took Bliss (aka Rebecca #247) home where she became a cherished member of our family. Her life was taken away from us entirely too soon, on May 19th 2009, related to an autoimmune blood disorder. Not a day passes that she is not missed terribly. We want to thank Golden Bond for giving us the best friend in the world. (The attached photo shows Bliss soaking up love from our daughter and her friend.) She changed our lives for the better.

Rebecca (#247) to be known as Bliss, has gone home with Jeff, Jan and their three girls Shelby, 11, Lauren, 9, and Gwen, 4. When they first met her, according to Patty (foster mother and Puppy Person Extraordinaire!), Jan had tears in her eyes. They lost their lab two years ago and their golden last November, both of whom they had raised from puppies. The fact that this little girl is a yellow lab/golden cross is almost mystical. There was a lot of excitement in the family with a new puppy, we look forward to hearing how life unfolds for Bliss.
