Success Story: Brady (#298)

Adopted April 9, 2005

Brady
Brady (now Brody) (#298) seems to be having a wonderful time out here in what he call his Battle Ground Shangra La. Favorite activity so far seems to be chasing squirrels, which I must admit, Gordon has been really encouraging! He also loves racing his older brother, Leon, down our long driveway. And they can both run like the wind, so it's so fun to see these great large dogs, ebony and golden, running neck in neck, then panting and smiling so proudly at the end.

His brother has introduced him to the fine art of digging which thankfully has occurred out in the pastures so far. He was so nice and clean when he came to us! But, last week with the rain and the mud, he came to the front door looking like a different dog! Brown face, brown, muddy legs...a real mess! Gordon was laughing when he told me how only his rear end was pointing up in the air to the sky as he seemed to be feverishly digging after a varmint he was chasing. The rest of his body was deep down in the ground!

Really, it's heartwarming to see how he is taking to us all, never far from a hand who can pet him. He chases animals he sees on the TV screen. Comes pretty readily to a whistle when he not being distracted. Pounces and plays with his bro. And really was so very cooperative with his first bath with us at Dirty Dog Gone.

We are falling more in love with each other every day. He's been a joyful addition to our little family.

Thanks,
Sue and Gordon

Brady's "Available" Story

Five year old, single, blond golden with slender physique and big heart seeks new family for years of activity, fun, and late night snuggles. I enjoy long walks on the beach or neighborhood, fun romps of fetch, and Sunday drives in the car. I'm good with children. I enjoy a simple diet, no medication and am in excellent health. I do have a tendency to counter surf when yummy treats are left out, and I can be kind of loud if I am left outside and know that you are inside without me. It's important to me that I be in a home where we can have fun and get exercise and where I can be close by you. If I sound like your partner for life, please contact me.
