Success Story: Carver (#1057) — now Cody

Heaven on Earth!!! Is how I feel now that I have found my forever home with my new Mom, Dad and Sister! Mom and Dad say they have now joined the 2004 Class of Golden Bond Volunteers who have flunked fostering 101. Now that sounds bad to me but they say it is a good thing for our family!

I do not have much history to offer my new family as Golden Bond rescued me after I had been found wandering around. I was lost, scared, with nowhere to go. It was really, really sad, but I could not tell anyone. So I am so-o-o thankful for this Golden Bond Rescue place cause if they did not find me my forever family would not have adopted me!

Mom says I was too skinny and my coat needed lots of good nutrients and care to help me flourish into the beautiful handsome boy she says I now am. So she cooks for me! She makes me all this healthy stuff she says is good for my body, oh and she also makes me homemade treats with lots of good things so I am strong and healthy and can enjoy my new life and all the things we have to do that I missed before they got me. Oh, Oh, Oh and she brushes me everyday and says my coat is so soft!

I love my new forever family so much that I sometimes jump up on them, but I only do it cause to let them know how happy and thankful I am to have them in my life! Mom and Dad say that is the only time they have to explain to me about having good manners and stuff, just in case someone does not want that much love at once or something like that, so I am trying really hard to be a good boy and listen to Mom and Dad cause they know best and I love to make them happy.

Oh yeah, did I tell you I also have a brother who is bigger and does not live with us cause Mom says he is all grown up and stuff, but he comes over a lot to play with me and gives me kisses and he doesnąt seem so grown up to me! I have two sets of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins too! Mom says everyone loves me so much and we are all so happy!

I took my first family vacation right away cause Mom and Dad said that all the noises coming out of the sky scared me too much, so they took me to this beautiful place they called Sunriver! It was like I found heaven again! That is twice now in two weeks! This vacation they took me on did not allow fireworks so Mom and Dad thought I would like it and boy did I! We got to go on lots of walks and all the restaurants Mom and Dad went to I got to go too and sit outside with them, I even saw deer and squirrels but could only look — no chasing, while Mom held me tight. Mom and Dad say I am so good in the car that they are planning a new trip to take me on really soon. "I am soooooo good." I hear these words all the time that I am a good boy and how much everyone loves me and it makes me happy cause I never heard those words before.

Well, just wanted everyone to know not to worry about me cause I am happy happy happy now and I love my new family! I love Golden Bond Rescue sooo much too for helping me find my Mom, Dad and sister, now we are one big happy family with so much love to give each other I have no time to talk anymore have to go cause we have so much stuff to do!

We love him!!!!!!!!!! He is doing great and we are all as happy as can be!
