Success Story: Big Boy (now Barrios) (#1058)

Adopted June 28, 2004

Big Boy - BarriosDarling Big Boy (#1058) was found tied to a guard rail alongside a busy freeway, frightened and abandoned. He was rescued by a Good Samaritan, who took him to Dove Lewis Clinic in Portland. Golden Bond volunteers made sure he was placed with a caring foster family.

Joy and Peter gave Big Boy the love and attention he deserved, making sure he received good medical care and advice. This sweet and frightened dog is recovering nicely — and quickly became a very important member of their family.

Big Boy - BarriosThis big, happy Golden boy has now found his forever home and his future with Joy, Peter, and golden pal Simon (the more red one) will be full of warm and happy times together.

Update October 2004

Barrios is doing very well, thank you. He has put on weight, I am not sure how much as I haven't had him weighed recently but he's filled out nicely. His fur has gotten softer, hot spots are hopefully under control. They seem to reoccur so I have switched him over to a raw food diet per his vets suggestion. He is sure that this will end the hot spots. He's been on raw foods for just one week and seems to be doing very well with it. His energy has increased and he is the sweetest boy you ever want to know. Our other golden, Simon ADORES him! Of course we all do how could we not?
