Ellie (#1062) has been adopted by Kathy and Rick and their son, Zac, of Portland. She will have a nice yard to run in and a mini schnauzer to play with while waiting for the folks to come home. This pretty little girl says of herself, "If I sound like the perfect dog, that's because I am a 'golden'. I am ready for my forever home because I have so much love to give and am so ready to please. I am truly a sweetheart! :-)"

We changed Ellie's name to Corkie. It really fits her. She is doing great. But, now that the weather has turned wet, she does not like the wet grass on her feet, so she sometimes does her business in the house. I think I am going to get her some booties so it does not bother her so much. I think she was an outside dog and does not know what to do when we let her out. I try to go out with her and praise her when she goes in the grass. We are working on it, but we love her just the same.Kathy
