Golden Retriever Rescue
For the Love of Goldens
Adopted September 24, 2004
I'm Max (#1082) and I am happier than I ever thought I could be. When I came to Golden Bond I was heartbroken because my people decided they could not keep me any more but now, Oh Wow. I get to go live on 6 acres right out of Vancouver, with my new mom and pop and a sister named Sadie. Sadie and I have a great deal in common. She is a Golden Bond graduate too, we are both Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mixes, and we both love and protect our people. I can't believe how lucky I am.
The one sadness is that I will miss my foster mom Kristie and my foster brother Bear. Mama Kristie did say she would "dog sit" for me often and let me play with Bear. We can even go back to the dog park and visit my other pals. How lucky can one dog be!!!! I know I will see you all at next year's picnic, just look for the big blonde twins. By the way, what is a twin?

Max is doing great. The reason we wanted a second dog was that we were moving out to the country on five acres and a pond. So we are all settled in our new place and the dogs are having the time of theirs lives. They get to explore and dig for rodents for hours. Max was shy about playing with Sadie, our GB Rescue from April, because Sadie was aggressive in the beginning. Now they have worked out their differences and play great together. Max loves to run up fast to the cat, but she holds her ground, so Max waits for another time to chastize her. He can't wait for my husband to get up in the morning so he can jump on the bed and snooze awhile longer.
We got him licensed in Clark County and will get a micro chip soon. His shots are due this summer, so he will get to visit our vet then. He sticks close to where I am and loves our two walks daily to get the newspaper and the mail. He is a great addition to our family.
