Success Story: Penny (#1088)

Adopted August 28, 2004

PennyThey tell me my new name might be Lovey. That's 'cause all their dogs and cats are named after the folk from Gilligan's Island. 'Til then, my name is still Penny (#1088).

When Steven and David came to visit me they brought 11 week old golden, Thurston (see what I mean about the names!). He was real fun to play with. Steven and David thought I was just wonderful walking on a leash. My foster mom told them that I learned it from Jane Smith at Columbia Dog Training School. Turned out that Thurston was already signed up for classes at Columbia.

Well, long story made short, I now live with my new family in Portland. I'm having a ball here. Thurston and I play and play, then we sleep and sleep, pretty close together. We even taught ourselves how to carry a stick together like a team of horses. :-)) I'm not too sure about the other cat animal, but I guess I'll get used to it.

Thurston is still a little afraid of stairs, so I'm showing him the ropes. He says going down is the scariest, but I go first to show him how. Then I can catch him if he slips.

What a blast! Thanks you, Golden Bond.
