Success Story: Maggie (#1133)

Adopted January 18, 2005

Thanks to Golden Bond and her foster parents, Maggie (#1133) has found a home in Winchester with Jan and Dick. She sleeps in her dog bed right beside Dick's bed so she can get up when the alarm rings, without disturbing Jan, and head out to the marsh for duck hunting or the river for steelhead fishing. She shies away from brooms or other long objects but this will pass when she realizes that the only reprimand she will get here is a stern word and a look. Her appetite is good now and we plan to fatten her up a bit to insulate from the cold water in the river when she retrieves. Jan and I really enjoy the warm greeting she gives when we return home from our activities. She fills the void we've had since losing our previous dog last August. We are so pleased to have found such a loving companion!
