Success Story: Biscuit (#1137)

Adopted December 12, 2004

BiscuitBiscuit (#1137) is more than we ever dreamed possible. When we applied for a rescue dog we thought we could change his life for the better. We never imagined how much he would change ours.

We knew we could offer him a spot on our bed and a place in our hearts. But to our amazement, in three short weeks he has quietly crept into our very souls and lies there quietly awaiting discovery at the most unexpected times. We adore him.

Biscuit came to us at age 4-1/2 and assumed a dual role in our family and community. He is the President of our Hospitality Committee and the elected Universal Peacemaker. Let me tell you that nobody can resist his warmth and his generosity. My husband and I have not had cold feet or dry hands since his arrival. Also, our new foster child's transition into our home was made easier because of Biscuit's unconditional acceptance, warmth and affection.

BiscuitBiscuit has already taught 5-year-old Isaacs (our assertive 95-pound Yellow Lab) that sharing is possible and there is hope for world peace. Together, Biscuit and Isaacs make our universe stand still when they entertain us. It is with tears in my eyes that I say that life cannot get better.

Biscuit is our first rescue dog, but not our last. We are grateful for the whole crew at Golden Bond Rescue for helping us choose the best furry boy on the planet. Biscuit reigns! And so do Golden Bond's dedicated volunteers who were with us each step of the way. Thank you so much for everything!
