Success Story: Curry (#1141)

Adopted February 28, 2005

CurryHi, I'm Curry (#1141) and I'm am adjusting really well to my new home. My new parents are great and love me to pieces and I have a new friend too, a yellow lab named Slider who is just a year older than me. I really like my new home, but I have to admit the first few days were a little confusing. I had a wonderful foster family and even though my new parents were really nice, I missed my old ones. Sometimes I'd go to the window and see if they were out there to pick me up, but after a few days I knew that I was here to stay. Playing with Slider is really fun, but I think me coming to live here was a little confusing for him too. He is very close to my new Mom and it was hard for him to share her in the beginning. But, with a little patience and a lot of love from everyone, he realized that there was plenty of love for both of us! Now we play in the yard all day, go to the dog park together, and hang out with Mom and Dad in the evenings. Mom is really easy to get along with and I like her a lot. Dad was a little intimidating in the beginning (especially since he's a pretty big guy) and I didn't get to spend much time with him for the first few days. But after some quality time, I got to know him and now I'm happy when he comes home and Slider and I always greet him at the door.

All in all, this is a great place to live and I'm really happy I came here. It took a few days for me to figure out the routines and rules of the house, but once I figured that all out, it was great! I feel pretty lucky to have arrived here after where I've been and what I've been through and I know that from now on this is where I'll stay!

Love, Curry
