Success Story: Champ (#1145)

ChampHi Everyone,

I found my new permanent home on Sunday, January 17th... A Happy New Year for me! I am with Jerry and Carlene in Banks, OR and daughters Courtney (11) and Chelsy (13). They love to argue over me to see which bedroom I will sleep in each night... it's fun, so I go back and forth... all night long and, sometimes, even end up in bed with Jerry and Carlene! It's comfy.

I have a wonderful backyard now, with the freedom to come and go in a secured yard... all mine! I am spending most of my time hanging about the house from morning until after lunch, when Carlene comes home from work (she only works part-time, so I get lots of attention). Then we go for walks and play. Carlene has learned tennis balls don't last long with me, so we're working on tougher toys. We are going to be in a training class starting the first week of February. Can't wait to show off!

Jerry got me this cool tag on my neck. His bank gives a discount on pet insurance, so I have my own little insurance policy. Can't wait to go see the vet next week! I get regular checkups and no fleas!! And if I'm clumsy and hurt myself, I'll be taken care of really well.

We've already made some camping plans for the coast and even for British Columbia!! This is going to be FUN!! Can't wait!!

I'll stay in touch, and maybe we'll see everyone at the reunion picnic in the summer.
