Success Story: Casey (#1161)

Adopted February 12, 2005

CaseyWe wanted to let you know how Casey (#1161) is doing so far. He did extremely well in the car, but our first investment is going to be in a car "barrier" though! He wanted to be up front with us.

We haven't seen any bad behavior yet — no counter surfing, accidents in the house, chewing — he did bury a bone in the backyard, but he did it in a good place behind my flowers and plants!

He slept all night quietly in our bedroom with us. He didn't like the dog bed that I bought, but seems to have "claimed" a shag throw rug in the bedroom as his, which is fine.

He sniffs everything in the house, but does so calmly and hasn't run through the house yet.

We have worn him out already and he is now asleep on the carpet in the family room. We took him on a long walk when we got home and also on several today, and subjected him to a ton of petting from the kids at the neighborhood park.

He is doing very well so far. Thank you so much for taking him in and giving him a second chance. He's a great dog.

We'll keep you updated as time goes on.
