I love coming home after work to these darlings and spending time with them, getting them into the routine and making them comfy and familiar with their home, using simple repetition and lots of love. They know now that when I gather my keys and purse in the morning, I am leaving for the work day and that their job is to "take care of mummy's house" while I'm gone. They do it wonderfully. They take over and keep everything ship-shape! And they are all three delighted to show me that they have done so, when I return! There is seldom a slip-up. They get a treat for their work, and then we go outdoors.
A mother cat has had kittens in the garden, and I want you to know that while Harley and Sassy (and Maggie) were beside themselves with excitement to discover the babies, not a hair on those little soft heads was harmed or even touched. They came back away from the babies, when I called, and once back inside the house, they substituted carrying around their stuffed animals in joyous expression of the discovery! How can you not love creatures like that?!
How do people live without these dogs?

Harley's and Sassy's "Available" Story
I'd like to introduce Harley (#1164) and Sassy (#1165), two of Golden Bond's finest. Harley is a 7-year old Golden, and Sassy is 11 years old, part Golden, part Lab. These two have been companions ever since Harley was a puppy, and they are a "matched set" they need to be together in a loving home. Harley comes in XX size at about 135 pounds, which means he is overweight. However, since being in his foster home, he has lost some of this extra poundage, and is loping around the yard and house like a youngster. Sassy is very active, and you would never know she is 11 years old. The vet has said she is in great health, and has no special needs. Harley does have a "worry sore" on his left leg, but the foster family has been treating it, and it is healing. Harley and Sassy get along very well with other animals there are two spoiled Pomeranians in the foster house, along with six cats, and there have been no problems at all. Both dogs are well mannered, house broken and love to be with the family. Harley loves his ball, and will play fetch as long as someone will play. They are both very, very sweet natured, quiet, loving dogs who deserve a permanent home together.
