Nelson (#1178) has been in his forever home for 5 days. He joins Cedar, another Golden Bond adoptee. Nelson's foster parents brought him to visit last Thursday and it was love at first play for both dogs. He loves to play and can even tire Cedar out! Nelson came to our home with lots of love, but no manners. He loves to jump on the furniture and walk on the back of the couch and from there leap onto the coffee table. Nelson has already taught Cedar how to get into the car (a maneuver that Cedar was afraid to do before) and, with luck, Cedar will return the favor and teach Nelson how to behave politely in the house. Nelson is also learning about cats and squirrels, always trying his hardest to get them to play too.
Nelson had his first trip to the groomer on Sunday where we all met another Golden Bond dog, Honey. He does great with strangers and other dogs and is very good at calming himself, another skill he can teach Cedar. We are so fortunate to have Nelson and very grateful for all of the loving care he received while being fostered. We look forward to the picnic so Nelson and Cedar can meet all their Golden Bond buddies.
