We have learned alot from each other and he has just recently been a foster brother to Rosie, who was with us for 3 weeks. We are happy that she found a new home and look forward to having our next foster dog. Harley is now being a great foster brother to Zoey.
Harley was in the strawberry fair and had on his Harley jacket and hat and was loved by all. He also has been assisting me with some law enforcement torch run golf tournaments and has been a huge success and brings joy to everyone.
Harleys' newest adventure is that he is going to 4H twice a week with another 4H member and we are learning new tricks. He will be shown this weekend at the Linn County Fair. He actually won 4 ribbons. Woohoo! Go Harley
Love my Harley and cannot thank Golden Bond Rescue enough for him.
See you all at the picnic in August!

I'm perfectly potty trained, and I don't lick or jump on people. I walk well on leash, and know commands like sit, down, and off (if my offending paws are on something on which they shouldn't be like the furniture.) I need work on other things like stay, and coming when called. But my foster parents say I'm smart and willing to please, so I'd do great in obedience if you'd be so kind to take me!
In my previous homes I was known for a bit of shall we say "wanderlust", and would take myself for unsupervised walks. I've done this a couple of times in foster, when people thought the doors were shut, but they weren't (or I opened them, but I won't admit to that...) Foster Mom is working with me so I know not to go through doors without human permission, but I'm still working on that concept. For this reason, until I get settled into your home, you'll need to be very careful with me around open doors.
If I get bored, or stressed, or feel insecure, I do have a tendency to chew on things a bit. My foster parents said something about this being separation anxiety, whatever that means. I just need to feel secure, and learn what I can chew on. Until I figure that out though, it might be best to keep me in my crate or someplace enclosed like a laundry room, when you're out.
Since I spent so much of my life alone, I'd like to find an active family where someone is home most of the time. A playful dog, and/or kids of my own over the age of 8 would be awesome! I like chasing balls and playing Frisbee, and would like to find people who want to keep me entertained. Between walks and play session, I'm also very good at napping!
I can also be very focused. Given the opportunity, I can spend hours and hours watching squirrels outside the window. I must admit, at these times I pretty much shut out the world, and don't hear you talking to me. My foster parents think this is a amusing.
At night, I like to sleep under the bed (should there be room for me.) If there isn't room, I like to stick my nose under the bed. If there's not room for that either, I'll content myself with a dog bed (or the couch but don't tell foster parents about that!!)
I've asked foster Mom to take some pictures of me, showing me in various poses, in case it helps you fall in love with me. Give Golden Bond a call and say you want to meet ME!!!
Woof,
Sonny
