Success Story: Bree (#1195)

Adopted May 11, 2005

Bree
Dear Golden Bond,

My name is Bree (#1195) and I am liking my new home very much. I go for walks almost everyday when I can talk my mistress into it. We live next to a city park so there are plenty of squirrels around. I can't chase them on our walks, but, in the back yard they are all mine. They run up the trees and I sit there and watch for a long time for them to come down, but, they never do. My favorite place in the yard is under the butterfly bush. You can see a lot from there and no one can see you! It's always good to have a lookout you know. I also love to go on long rides. There is so much to see and do. I have been learning a lot of new things, but what in the world does "come" mean? Does anyone know? Next Saturday I get to go the the beauty shop. You know how red heads are. Have to look smashing for the picnic ya know. I'm very happy here.

PS: Tom and Arlene think that I am very special and they would like to thank everyone at Golden Bond for letting me be a big part of their family.

Bree's "Available" Story

Bree
Bree (#1195) lived as a stray on the front porch of an abandoned house for a month before finding her way to Golden Bond. She was obviously a well loved and cared for family pet. Bree (Celtic for goddess of fire) is a healthy 1-1/2 to 2-year-old 53 pound golden/chow mix who is quiet and housebroken.

Bree is moderately active. She likes fetching balls, going on walks, and watching and chasing squirrels. She is easy to walk on leash. A quick learner, she knows "sit" and "heal," is doing well with "down" and "stay," and will need more training for a consistent "come." She is well behaved and quiet when she is by herself in the house or outside in the yard.

She does well with children and it is unknown how she is around cats. She has been fine meeting other dogs in parks but seems a little scared around big dogs. Bree would do best as the only dog in the family — that will just make it easier for her to adore you and be spoiled in return! The only things she doesn't seem to like are having her ears cleaned and aggressive dogs.

This is a loving, adorable little dog that is affectionate but will lie down quietly once she gets her ears scratched and her tummy petted. If you adopt Bree, one of the joys of your life will be petting this super plush, soft fur ball!
