Adios little friend. We're going to miss you but hope to see you at the annual picnics for years to come.
An update from Honeybear (now Sunny B)...
Hi Everyone,
My name is Sunny B! It used to be Honeybear, but I like my new name too! I've been in my new home for a little over a month now and it's great. When I first got here, I jumped out of the car wagging my tail and my tongue and couldn't wait to check out my new house. I was surprised to find another animal there to greet me. I wasn't sure what it was but it was a lot smaller, black and made strange meowing and hissing noises. My new family called it Shiloh. Does anybody know what a Shiloh is? I gave him a loud hello and lunged forward to play and he drew back a paw and swiped at my nose! Boy that was a close one! Glad he missed. That would have hurt! That was many days ago and we're friends now. Well, sort of.
I have a great back yard to play in and I go for walks around the neighborhood. There are so many dogs here. I met Crosby and he's my new boyfriend! We get to play together in each other's yards.
I love to go in the car! Every time we do, I hope we're going to the park or to my favorite store just for me! (okay other dogs and cats get to go too) and I get to walk around and look at all the stuff and get treats from the people who work there!
I have to go now. It's almost time for a walk. I just wanted to say thanks to the Golden Bond people for rescuing me. I also wanted to say a big hello to my foster family, Bob and Kelly and Tristan, (my old best friend). Thank you for letting me go home with Pam and Debbie.

Honeybear is a little shy upon meeting new people (must be the Border Collie in her) but quickly warms up to everyone. We saw a great deal of this shyness when she first met our 5- and 7-year-old grandchildren. She obviously had no previous experience with children. We recommend that Honeybear would be best matched with a person or family that has experience with training young dogs and has no children under 12.
If you are the right person or family, Honeybear will prove to be the most loving, loyal dog ever. We've had many foster dogs and although it is difficult to see any of them leave, Honeybear will be the hardest.
