Success Story: Maxwell (#1206)

Adopted April 29, 2005

Maxwell
Hi there, its me, Maxwell (#1206). I mean Jasper. That's my name now. I have moved to Banks to live with Carol, Bob and Spike. I sure miss my foster family but I'm trying to make the best of it. There is a wading pool here and lots of sticks, even smelly stuff to roll in. That picture of me was taken after a dip and a roll. I'm quite sophisticated with that stick in my mouth, don't ya think?

And there I am with my new family. That's Bob trying to make me sit still and Spike is on the other side. She growled at me for being so squirmy. Spike can be a little grumpy sometimes but I think she likes me. We play a lot and run in big circles. I think I am faster than she is.

Thanks Golden Bond for getting me out of the slammer. You'll never regret it. Mom says I'm going be a star some day. She keeps talking about tunnels, jumps and weave poles. She also said I have to learn some manners first. I'm okay with that if I get cookies.

Thanks and one big slurp,
Jasper

Maxwell's "Available" Story

Maxwell
Maxwell (#1206) is a beautiful, sweet and energetic 60 pound, 14 month old, neutered male. He is housebroken, crate trained and gets along well with other dogs. His foster mom suggests that a home with another active dog or as an only dog would be best.

He is mouthy and will sometimes grab at your clothing. When visitors come to the door he gets pretty excited and wants to jump on them but will calm down after a few minutes. His foster Mom has been working with him and he is improving.

He is smart and a quick learner. Max does well on a leash and knows how to sit and lay down. He will need clear expectations and practice that telling him what he SHOULD do rather than trying to teach him what NOT to do. Max would make a great addition to an active family with children over 12 who will respect the management and rules regarding his training.

Maxwell
Like a typical Golden, he likes to be with you and will follow you around. With continued basic obedience and maturity, he will make an awesome companion.
