This is Chanel here. I just wanted to tell you how my first days have gone with my forever family. I like all the attention my new family gives me. The kids play ball with me as much as I want. I get to go on walks too. My new mom says she needs to lose weight too so we are going to do a lot of walking.
I don't really understand what "forever" home means yet. This is the 4th place I have lived in a year so I'm still a little unsure. I didn't like being alone last night so my mom slept on the sofa and I slept on the floor next to her. But tonight I seem to feel better because I am on my bed and haven't made a peep yet. But if I do, my mom will sleep with me again. Today I got to go on an adventure and meet my new Aunt. My mom, the kids and I all piled into the Jeep (I get the whole back space to myself) and we went to the beach. They bought me a bunch of new balls, but I didn't want to play fetch on the lead. I don't know if I have ever been to the beach before. I really liked watching those seagulls. If I didn't have my lead on I would have LOVED chasing them. I liked the car ride and all the attention.
Yesterday I met several neighbors. I was surrounded by kids and was so happy. I also met a new friend. She was a little dominant at first, but I just lied there and let her get it all out. Then we were both wagging our tails. I think we will become good friends. WOW what an eventful first few days. Good thing the kids go back to school tomorrow, I can get some rest. On Tuesday I get to be the center of attention again, I'm going to be "shared" in the first grade class. I'm so sweet, I'm sure they will all love me.
Well got to go outside and do my final business for the night. Thank you for rescuing me and giving me a wonderful foster home and now a wonderful forever home. I know I'm going to do great things here.
Wet kisses,
Chaney (or Annie as my new family is calling me)

Chanel has a great temperament, friendly and outgoing. She likes to play, but likes her down time as well. She is equally happy laying beside you while watching TV, or chasing the tennis ball.
She is in a home with two other goldens and two cats, and has no problem with either cats or dogs, although if the cat runs, Chanel will chase her, thinking it's a good game! One of the cats she lives with will groom her and Chanel will keep still for that. She would make a good family dog or a nice addition to a more than one dog family.
