I know it was really hard for my other mom to give me up and, I must say, I was pretty confused and sad myself at first. But when Diane brought me home, I knew I had found heaven and it was love at first sight. I get a lot of attention and I have learned so many new things this last 6 weeks. I now eat well, potty outside, go on walks, ride in the car, play with other dogs, and am getting pretty good at sit, come, heel, down and stay. I'm even trying really hard to learn "leave it". One of my most fun new activities is swimming after sticks in the river, although it still takes my breath away and I get scared when the water gets over my head and I have to swim.
I want my first mom to know I thank her for taking care of me the last 3-1/2 years and that she doesn't need to worry. I am very, very happy, healthy and loved. My new mom says our lives are truly blessed and I think I understand what she means.
Diane and I thank Golden Bond for all that they did to put us together and for all the support their dedicated volunteers continue to provide us.
