Hot Pinkie (Hotsy), now Sierra (#1239)

Adopted October 25, 2005

Hot Pinkie
Hi, my name is Sierra, formerly Hot Pinkie or Hotsy (#1239). I'm another one of Alice's puppies, and the last one to be adopted. My foster mom tried to find me a good home, but then decided that I was just too precious to give up, so now I'm living permanently with her and my foster brother, Buddy. He's a big, older golden guy and my favorite playmate (though I did have to teach him how to play at first). Now we run around our big backyard chasing each other and playing keep away with the toys. Inside the house we wrestle and make lots of noise sometimes, it's never serious. Buddy doesn't mind when I attack him and pull his tail or chew on his face. Mom says he's too tolerant of me.

I get to go on long walks in the hills, and mom even takes me to day care once a week so I can play with other dogs and get "socialized". She tells me we're going to start school real soon, so I can learn how to behave properly around other people and their pets. I think I'm perfect already, but you know how moms are. I'm really looking forward to showing off what I already know like sit and down and lifting my paws on command so they can be dried off (I've had to do a lot of that lately). All in all I'm having a good time, and I'm glad I got to stay here where I'm comfortable. I even get to jump up on the bed close to mom when I get cold in the middle of the night (at least that's the excuse I give her). Mom says I'm still growing, but that I'll always be a dainty, svelte dog. She wants to get me ready for agility training because I have so much energy and can jump so high. I think I have a pretty good life, don't you?
