My parents, Tim and Sue, and my brother Brian, and of course my older sister, Nugget, all welcomed me into their hearts the first time we ever met! All of us knew immediately that we were a wonderful match.
It's been a ton of fun so far, although I'm a little hard pressed to give up any of my sisters tennis balls! My sister and I have pretty much gotten along excellent from the start, but we did have a couple of arguments when I first moved in. Now that I have learned some of her boundaries better, we're playing and romping in the yard apparently like she and my family's former Golden Bond rescue, "Harley", used to do. Every time we're spotted wrestling, our family's faces totally light up It's really cool to have a family that loves me and thinks I'm entertaining!
I'm starting to learn some obedience finally, since in my former life I really didn't have a whole lot of "formal" training. My family understood that, and my brother told me that he would train me how to be a great dog. He's been working with me as much as he can since I'm a little stubborn. I guess he figured he better start working on me as soon as possible!
I don't fully know the meaning of the word "relax" yet, but I'm starting to learn that I don't have to go a million miles an hour all the time! I'm getting better at coming when I'm called, staying outside when asked, and staying off the furniture (because I haven't earned that privilege yet!) I've still got a lot of work left to do, but at least I'm learning. Oh, and I have also learned that I get a time out when I go into the bathroom to tear up a roll of toilet paper... but that was SOOOOOOO much fun!!! And I bark WAAAY too much, but I'm working on it. At least I don't bark in the house when my family comes home anymore!
Anyways, I wanted to thank you and my foster mom for helping my family find me. I couldn't have done it without you guys. I know I've found my forever home, and am glad that us dogs have an organization like yours to be able to connect us.
Thank you again for everything you've done for me, it's changed my life forever.
With puppy love,
Luke (and family)

But things are changing now! I've been with my foster mom and brother (18 month old Golden Bond original, Jackson) and we've been having lots of fun. My foster mom says I am very sweet. I know some commands (sit, lie down, out) and am very happy. I like to be pet and that calms me down but I also know when to relax and not be a bother. I had a history of toy and food aggression so I get fed in the other room away from my foster brother but I am NEVER aggressive towards humans. I've even been sharing toys with my foster brother with no arguments!!!! I LOVE to play tug of war and love the water. We have a small pool here at my foster home and it's REALLY fun! Jackson and I get really wet and then run around the yard. I sleep on a dog bed and am a great sleeper. And when the morning comes, I love to play again!
I was a little overweight when I arrived at my foster home because I was free fed but I've been put on a diet and am trimming up nicely. I love to be active and I walk and run great on the leash. My foster family and I go running in the park in the morning and my foster mom says I am a perfect gentleman on the leash. I come when I'm called and am really a great boy. I believe the word "smart" has been used with my name. I love children and am very good with them. I do bark when I hear a noise that seems out of the ordinary, but am happy to stop when reminded. I'm looking for a family to call my own who will love me and play with me and let me be part of the family. Are you my forever family?
