My nickname of "Tator Tot" is no longer apropos since my golden roundness is slowly fading. And now that I am so slim and agile I can jump into the back of my SUV all by myself.
I do startle to noises now that my ears are clear and there are so many exciting sounds to hear out here in the country. I have made friends with Roxy, my cat buddy, and the Llamas and I have gained a mutual respect since they haven't spit at me for quite a while now. But try as I might, it has been difficult to keep the squirrels out of the bird feeders in my yard.
My new family says I am the Golden Retriever they have been looking for and promise that I am more beautiful than the others they have had. Thank you Golden Bond for being so patient and diligent in finding great homes for wayward Golden Retrievers. I know I will share many happy years with my forever family.

It's been great here at my foster home with my two foster brothers Sam and Jack. They're a lot bigger than me but I love to jump into the middle when they wrestle around or run after them when something exciting is going on in the yard like that pesky squirrel who chatters at us from the trees! There are also balls to chase and squeekies to fetch, so much to do! I'm the only girl-dog since my sister left but I tend to be a bit of a tomboy so I fit right in. I like everyone, but it would probably be best if my new family didn't have smaller children. I'm still very overweight and I might accidentally knock them down. My first home even had a cat so if you have one I'm sure we can get along!
I have a lot of great qualities too! I don't bark a lot or dig, I'm not aggressive or possessive but I will let you know if I hear something I think you should know about. Although I've never had any formal obedience training, I'm house trained and my foster mom is always saying what a good girl I am because I can stay in the house with Sam and Jack and I don't chew things up while she is at work. She says I won't have any trouble finding my new home because I am such a sweet, smart, wonderful girl! I hope that's true because I'm really looking forward to having my own family and the wonderful life we can share together! By the way I was just wondering could that be you?
