Success Story: Wrigley (#1290), now Willie Mays

Wrigley
Life is wonderful!

I'm Willie Mays, previously known as Wrigley (#1290). My mom is a big baseball fan so she changed my name. I really like my new home in Vancouver because I have a large yard to run around in and a baseball legend to play with. My new brother, Sandy Koufax, loves to play and wrestle with me. He's also a golden, who was rescued in California. Together we provide Mom with lots of love and fun. I especially like our evening walks and when I settle down a bit I may be able to go to school with Mom (she's a teacher). Yes, I'm working on my greeting people skills but Mom is showing me how to be a good host. We all go on evening walks and Mom loves to play, too. So, I'm not moving again. This is my forever home.

Regards,
Willie Mays

P.S. from Mom: Thank you so much, Golden Bond, for bringing us together. Now I feel that my family is whole.

Wrigley's "Available" Story

Wrigley
Hey, do you know anyone looking for 70 pounds of love, companionship, and wiggling fun? If so please send them my way. My name is Wrigley (#1290) and I am looking for someone to love and play with. I am just over one year old, totally house trained, well mannered most of the time, in good health, and have curly blonde hair. I sit still for grooming and ear cleaning (ugh), but wiggle a little on the nail clipping. I love other dogs, both large and small, and am okay with cats if they don't run. Boy, if they run so do I but I haven't been able to catch them.

My foster mom says that I have one little "issue". I don't think it's a problem but she does. When I get excited I jump, wiggle and evade those trying to control me. I forget my name, don't hear commands and generally have a good ol' time. As soon as things calm down or you get a hold of my collar

Wrigley
I revert back to the sweet loving boy Mom loves so much. See what I mean? Why should that be a problem? My foster mom's friends think I am really cute and love to laugh at her trying to get me calmed down again. She thinks that I will calm down and not have the selective hearing issue as I mature. Because I can get a little wild, I would not do well in a home with children under 12.

Please contact me soon. I would love to have a home of my very own!!
