Roger and Lorn
I'm Roger (#1322) and I'm 2. Everybody says I'm cute, but much smarter than the other blondes. I'm smart enough to know how to ignore rules, like not carrying shoes, socks and underwear. (I know, this is a family oriented organization.)

I was rescued as a stray by some nice folks in Eugene, then moved to Lorn and Eric's house in Salem before Christmas. (Oh, I guess I should mention that there's a big red dog there named Homer who also came from Golden Bond.) Anyway, there's a neat dog door I must go in and out of 30 times a day. We play at the tennis court and in the park, and every Saturday morning I take the guys to learn tricks in a class with other humans. (It's pretty clear that the dogs are in charge there.) I pretend to go along with games like "wait," "leave it," "heel" — you know all that silliness.

They forced me to go to the doctor because I itch a lot, and the worst part is the baths. Are they really necessary? Anyway, after some medicine and more water than any little guy should have to endure, I'm scratching a lot less. They tell me we're going to take some fun trips this summer, and I can hardly wait. Thanks for giving me this new place. I think every golden deserves a second chance — don't you?
