Success Story: Cheddar (#1334)

Adopted April 12th, 2006

Cheddar

We have had Ched, (Cheddar #1334), for about 4 months now and he has settled into the family very well. He knows our rhythms and is very clever about making sure we stay on track. When the kids come home at 2:00 PM, Cheddar is eager to greet them at the door. When it is 9:00 PM, he gives tired looks at us to let us know it is time to go to our mats. And when it is first light, he also lets us know that it is time to get up and play. The jingling of his dog tags announce his location, which shifts to make sure he can keep tabs on all the activities in the house. When we move, he moves. When some are upstairs and others downstairs, he camps out on the stair landing. Cheddar is a tug-of-war champion, favoring this activity over retrieving thrown objects, which he regards as an odd, tiring pursuit. He humors us for a few throws, then retreats to a handy patch of shade.

Ched is family now.

Thanks for your help in making this happen for us.

Mike
