Simba (#1427) is the name of a lion. This dog is more of a pussy cat, so now he's called Samba. We took him on as a foster dog and he was so sweet, we couldn't let him go. He loves to be underfoot, wherever people are. He lived in an RV before, so that may explain his need to be close.
He plays well with other dogs. But he's the first Golden I've met who has no interest in playing ball or fetch. He and the cat are still not on speaking terms, but we are progressing. He's slimmed down from 98 pounds to 82 and just has a little way to go to reach his ideal healthy weight. Samba will be 3 in September and we look forward to many years of companionship.
