Sydney

Hello, this is Sydney #1438.

I just wanted to say I have found my forever home! I love it here and I really like my new mom a lot! I did miss my foster mom, Darlene, for about 4 days but my new mom was very patient with me and gave me lots of extra loves to help me through it. If she didn't know what "velcro dog" was before, she sure does now! She doesn't seem to mind. She tells me she is used to it and she is always ready to give pets.

I share my home with two little people who love to play and go for lots of walks. They always show me where the cool ponds to swim in are, and the "special dirt", that I love to eat... all three of us get in trouble for that one. I also live with one cat. I would love to play tag with the cat, but he doesn't like that too much. I have licked his tail twice, and he hissed at me. I secretly think he would like to be friends, but I will give him his space.

I have a dad, too, and he works a lot. When he comes home he always gives me lots of pets and ear scratches and tells me what a beautiful dog I am and how happy he is to see me. Then he tells mom the same thing. Dad is the snuggle bug in the family, and mom... well, I like mom a lot. When the kids take a nap, mom and I go out in the back and play fetch, or my all-time favorite "brown puppy". Or, we go to the local dog park where I can play with others. We also go every morning to a school and play with another Golden named Murphy. He is nice, but mostly I like just spending time with the whole family together. We went to the beach this last weekend and boy was that fun. Mom wouldn't let me off the leash though. That was a slight bummer, but we did go in the water and we all had a great time. I am so happy to have found my forever home!
