Success Story: Dandy (#1455) now Kavanagh

Hey, Golden fans, my name is Kavanagh (formerly known as Dandy #1455) and I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am the big, handsome blonde in the picture. The red-head is my brother Lucky. He is a GBR guy that has been keeping my new family company for about two years now. I want to thank my wonderful foster parents, Mark and Cynthia, for taking me to the GBR picnic in August - that's where I met my new human parents and their three teenagers. I'm pretty sure it was love at first sight for all of us!

I live in a very busy household and I wouldn't have it any other way. With all the comings and goings, Lucky and I have lots of chances for car rides and walks. Our favorite place to romp is the local school yard. The area is fenced and we almost always have the place all to ourselves. When folks meet Lucky and I, they often refer to us as the "thundering herd." I guess we make quite a first impression.

Next month, I get to start obedience classes. All the other kids around here go off to school just about everyday - finally it will be my turn to take a shot at higher education. I think I have pretty good manners for a two-year old, but my humans seem to think that I could learn another thing or two.

So, it was a pleasure meeting you. Please feel free to say hello next time we meet - all my friends call me 'Kav.' I will gladly roll over and let you scratch my tummy. I am not too shy, and I think we know each other well enough for a little friendly scratch!
