Success Story: Macey (#1477)

Adopted November 30th, 2006

We fell in love with 3 year-old Macey the moment we first saw her while doing her intake evaluation. Petite and blonde, we thought she might be an ideal companion for us and our big red "Buddy" (aka Yogi) who we adopted from Golden Bond almost 4 years ago.

We arranged to foster Macey, and within minutes of entering our home she was "at home". She settled in immediately, and is exceptionally loving, and (unlike Bud!) quite obedient! From day one she made it very clear that she wanted to be the alpha dog, and this has led to some interesting moments when she gives the "eye" to Buddy, who weighs 30 pounds more than she. But they have learned to share the couch and the bed (where she crawls, commando-style, to curl up on our pillows in the middle of the night), and romp happily together in the yard and on frequent visits to the beach.

So, we adopted Macey and she has made our little family complete.
