February 25th, 2007 marked the addition to Lona and Matt's house in Prineville OR. of Hilda, a beautiful six year old bundle of Golden Retriever energy that wants nothing but attention!
Hilde, (pronounced "Hildeee") as we came to call her has adapted very quickly to her new environment. Within 5 minutes of riding home from Vancouver WA., she was curled up in the back seat of the car sound asleep! Seemed her only fear was being left behind hence her constant non-stop stare out the window of the car when we went in for a bite to eat. She has in a short period of time learned to trust us not to abandon her, but never has she stopped desiring maximum attention which is easy to provide!
A few days off work at the end of March found us in the Blue Mountains of NE Oregon enjoying hikes, snow and hot springs with Hilde next to us all the way. We feel she enjoys riding in the PU more than the car as she curls in between us on the seat, getting even more attention! As each week goes by, she improves her response to commands she was already familiar with and learns new obedience so that she will always be "socially accepted" wherever we are.
Will send pictures as soon as we can for the guaranteed proof of her feeling right at home. Thank you Golden Bond for providing us with such a beautiful addition to our family!
