Success Story: Bailey (#1606), now BB

BB is a perfect fit into the Johnson family.  She is a much needed playmate for Koa (#1059) who was very lonely after the loss of his German Sheppard sister Brittany.  BB is someone Koa can wrestle, chase and get into mischief with.

Two Goldens working together can be a dangerous combination when both are counter surfers and chow hounds.  The kitchen is blocked off to eliminate some of the foraging, but they keep looking for anything that might be food. Koa has taught BB to pick fruit from the trees in the yard. She stretches her full body length to get pears, apples and nashi from the upper branches.

BB loves to swim at the family cabin on the Little North Fork of the Santiam which was a prefect place to be during those hot days of August and September. I am a little concerned about her however, when she dunks her head under water. Maybe she was thinks she can retrieve rocks!

BB has tried to teach Koa how to retrieve. Most of the time, Koa is a golden, not a golden retriever. Koa has found that instead of chasing sticks, tennis balls and Frisbees, it’s a lot more fun to chase BB. It’s even more fun to play tug-o-war.
