For the Love of Goldens
Alpine (#244) has travelled through Golden Bond care for nearly two years. She first found a wonderful adopting home that welcomed her inside and taught her both manners and trust. In time, a difficult and sad situation brought Alpine back into foster care. Soon Denise, Richard, and Logan asked to meet Alpine, and the next adventure was begun. She showed them how she stretches out her neck, playing "seal" and accepting all the loving available. This affectionate dog won their hearts immediately... choosing them as much as they chose her. They invited Alpine to come home, stopping first for a weekend at their beach house. Lucky girl, lucky family. Alpine learned much during her time with Golden Bond families, and now she has graduated with honors.
Update: May 5, 2004
Our family wanted to send an update on our life with Molly. We feel so fortunate to have been chosen to become the new family for Molly [formerly Alpine]. She means a lot to all of us. Figaro the 13 year old cat meows to let Molly in and out the door and tries to engage her in a game of chase. Rich loves to take Molly on hikes over hill and dale and delights in her enthusiastic attention. She likes Rich to throw the ball for her since he throws it the farthest! Logan returns from school to take a walk with Molly, who loves him and doesn't ask anything from him besides a little dinner and (part of his bed in the middle of the night). Denise starts the day with Molly, who is always cheerful and ready for hugs, scratches and a bit of breakfast! She delights us with her smiles, her constant love of affection, and her easy going, friendly nature!
Golden Bond sent us a wonderful gift! We all thank you!
Rich, Logan and Denise
P.S. We hope to meet some of you at the summer picnic.
