Ginger (#468) has found her forever home! After fostering Ginger (left in photo) for
Ginger came to Golden Bond as an overweight, diabetic dog who had lost her sight as a result of the unchecked diabetes. However, Ginger left Golden Bond thirteen pounds lighter, a sighted Golden with a gleam in her eye and a wag in her tail!
It would have been a shame not to have given her sight back, because then, she couldn't enjoy her beautiful home overlooking the Salashan Golf Course. Not bad having your daily walks on the course.
Ginger is now living with a delightful retired couple, Phil and Pat, their six-year-old Golden, Duffy (right in photo), and their elusive house cat, Murphy Brown. As Ginger's new owners say, she is coming to an "agreement" with the cat. But, since Murphy wouldn't pose for the picture, you can see that the agreement hasn't been reached yet!
With a fond farewell, her foster parents and dogs, waved good-bye to a very precious soul of a dog. She certainly is off on a new adventure, only looking back to say, "Thanks, Golden Bond for giving me my life back." What a sweetheart!
