For the Love of Goldens
Adopted December 2003
Jake spent one month at the Raleigh Hills Clinic due to his accident with his feet being caught between the ferry and the dock. However, Jake had excellent care with Dr. Libbi Hawkins and his feet are just about completely heeled.
Ann and her dog, Dillon, came to the clinic to meet Jake several times and it was decided that Dillon and Jake could be great friends while Ann was at work. Dillon is a pretty mellow guy so Jake is learning how to gear down a bit after being confined for a month while his feet healed.
Jake is also taking advantage of the obedience classes with Columbia Dog Training that all Golden Bond dogs are able to sign up for at half price. All of these experiences are new to Jake as he adjusts to being an inside dog who gets to spend lots of time with his people.
Good for you, Jake, and all the best to you in the New Year!
Update: June 1, 2004
Jake is doing great and his paws are completely healed. He loves playing fetch on land and in water and is just happy all the time. Jake and my other dog Dylan are also getting along well and love to play.
