Layla #2116 came to me just a little over a month after my old golden passed away due to cancer. We helped each other out.  She needed a home, and I needed a new best friend. It has worked out great for the both of us. Layla had a rough start at her knew home. She went straight to get a bath after I picked her up. She was okay with the bath, but did not like the blow drier. That night she realized she was allowed on the couch and bed which made up for it.  She loves to snuggle!  Then she was scared to go outside in the backyard by herself for the first few weeks. Now that isn't an issue anymore.

She loves going on hikes with me, and does great on the trails. One of her favorite things to do is play with my friends three dogs. One of their favorite pass times is to look for ground  squirrels, and digging large holes in the field. She is settling in nicely, and I can already see that we will be friends for a long time.
