Atka's Available Story

Atka (#2143) is looking for a special forever home. She is a shy, frightened two year old girl.  Atka is small (about 50 lbs) and classic red. It takes awhile for Atka to warm up to people. When she becomes comfortable, she is a lovable, playful puppy.  Atka had always been crated, and that means that everything new is scary. A quiet home is best for her. She is anxious and nervous around children and new people. She does best with another dog in the home.  She enjoys wrestling, chasing and swimming with her foster brothers and sisters. She loves to swim in a creek on her daily walks. When Atka goes on her walks, she is uncomfortable with strangers, bikes, and skateboarders.  Her foster family believes she would love to hike in the woods.
