Glory #2136

Adopted August 20,2011

Glory's Available Story

Glory #2136Hi! My name is Glory (#2136) and I am a Golden Retriever mix. I think I am about 8 ½ years young! I am just about 65 pounds and have a dark red shiny coat. I was at a shelter, then I was adopted and kept by that family for 1 ½ years. I was given to Golden Bond Rescue because my family said I had something called separation anxiety. I guess when left alone for long periods of time, I did everything I could to excape, and that if I could not get attention at night, I would get very upset and do bad things. They tried several things including medication. All I really wanted was love, affection and someone to want me close to them. Is that really so bad? I've been doing really well at my foster mom's house.

I am a little shy at first, but soon warm up and then I am your Velcro dog. I love to chase tennis balls and will bring them back to you when you call my name. I walk nicely on a leash, and only pull when I see a squirrel or a bird. I play with my foster mom’s Retrievers and would love to be in a home with other fur kids. I don’t pay much attention to her cats. Although I have lived with children, they really aren’t for me. I get upset when things get too loud and confusing. As you can tell, I’m not a party girl but more the hang out with the folks type. I’m looking for the the simple life with my people close and my dog buddies right with me.

Glory #2136Occasionally, I get those pesky Golden hot spots, but my foster mom helps to clean them up, and my fur comes back. I may have an allergy issue, but we have not figured to what. I love the grain-free dog food she gives me, and that's really helped with hot spots. The vet says that I’m a healthy girl for my age and darn cute too. I am spayed, current on all vaccines, and need no medications. I just need love, exercise, attention, and a family.
I hope you would like to have me join your family and be your little shadow. If so, please give us a call for a meeting and play date.
