Sadie (#1814) has been with us for 5 weeks. We adopted her through Linda Toberer on Friday the 13th (August). From the day we got her, it has felt like she was always ours. Our 12 year old black lab, Stanley, and 10 year old Sadie, are absolutely bonded. They are both laid-back and easy-going Beta dogs. Sadie is an excellent traveler. She's been to the beach twice and has taken to her second home there as readily as her home near Grant Park in Portland. She gets 3 walks each day, and, as we are both retired, is rarely without one of us close by. She and Stanley are only separated when he takes his early morning walk. After the first day of accompanying him, she has opted for sleeping in. Yes, she is very smart. It took Sadie 4-5 days to ignore our two cats. Now they can lay together on the rug. Needless to say, Sadie is the perfect dog. We dearly love her. We are grateful to Golden Bond Rescue for the devotion and care they gave Sadie, and have given the many dogs like her.
