We brought Annie (#1994) and Casey (1995) into our home as our foster dogs, we knew that because they were a pair that they would take a little longer to adopt out because of their age and that they needed to stay together. It was a little over a week after they were in our house and we all just had that feeling that we loved these girls and knew that giving them up would not be easy. We thought long and hard on it but in the end we finally decided that we were here to foster and not to adopt and we would let someone else have these perfect little ladies.

One morning as we were trying to sleep in we heard Casey whining somewhere in the house, we called her name then went back to sleep. Again we wake up to Casey whining, we call to her again. Again we go back to sleep, and are then awakened by sister Annie jumping on the bed to let us know that her sister was in need of our assistance. So out of bed we go to see what is up...well Casey had gotten herself trapped in the middle of the slick kitchen floor. The throw rugs had moved from the correct distance by just a hair and she just wasn't able to get beyond it (it's all in her mind). Well after that we just knew that these two girls wouldn't fit into any other home, they were home, (we like mental cases). That day we signed the adoption contracts and then went out and bought long runners for the kitchen and laundry room floors, so Casey will never be stranded again.

These girls are truly home now and our home is now complete
