Golden Bond Rescue of Oregon

Hi! My name is Cody (#2004), a.k.a. "Cody Bear," "C.B.," or "Mr. C.B." I am the second golden my family has adopted from Golden Bond, and they tell people that they have been twice blessed. On my way to my new home from my foster home in Vancouver I sat on my human sister's lap (I was 97 lbs then, I'm trying to lose a little weight) because I was a little nervous, but now I am very comfortable in my new house and love my family!

I share my new home with two, well make that three sisters. Gypsy Sue is also a rescue and she I have become best friends. My other sister, Molly, is a gentle yellow lab who is almost 13 years old, so she doesn't do a whole lot except keep an eye on me and Gypsy. My third sister is a cat named Cinnabon - we have a love/hate relationship. I love her, but she is afraid of my size and hisses at me if I get too close... we're working on it.

My day begins with a very small walk with Molly and Gypsy. We then drop Molly off and go a little further with Gypsy, and then we drop her off and go on the "Cody walk." I'm normally very well behaved, but lately I've developed a bad habit of finding dead squirrels on my walk and putting them in my mouth. My mom doesn't find it very funny.

During the day I like to hoard toys from Gypsy by stashing them in my dog bed. Often she proceeds to bark and jump at me, so I chase her - she's very fast. Sometimes - if I can catch her - I accidentally bring her to the floor with my big paws... I forget how big I am.

I travel between two homes - one in Lake Oswego, where I'm having a ramp built at our dock so I can swim in the lake, and another in Walla Walla, Washington, where I have a nice big fenced yard with nature trails for my "Cody walk." I'm told I will also be making a cross-country road trip to Wisconsin this summer with my family where there is another lake I can swim in. I am very excited about that.

My fur-ever family says they will never be without a golden, I'm so loved!
