Introducing Grace Gretch formerly known as Grace (#1991) and now affectionately called Gorgeous Grace, Racey Gracey, Curious Grace or Wild E. Beast, depending on the moment. From Pixie (it is me on the right): Grace’s energy is boundless, her curiosity is insatiable, her desire for affection approaches infinity and her ability to steal "borrow" love, affection, toys, etc.. from me is nothing short of incredible. However, her infectious smile, shameless licks and boundless effort to please makes it all worthwhile.

From Grace: (I have humans in training): The toilet bowl is at the right level. If it is on the counter, I am sure it is interesting. If it is food, even better. If it remotely resembles a stuffed animal, it probably is, and it should be mine. If socks are left on the floor, they are meant for me. Any available ball or toy belongs in my mouth. If it squeaks, I should squeak it relentlessly. If any part of the car is open - I belong there. I love to watch t.v. and balance on my hind legs to see better - Dog Town on Nat Geo is my favorite show. I love to swim, run, hike and fetch. A good day for me is when I get to hike and swim. At the end of the day, I sleep like a log, and can’t wait to do it all again the next day.

From the Humans: Grace is a classic rocket red golden and she is best described as curious. With that being said, she is being left alone in the house for half a day at a time with Pixie and there have been no problems. Upon arrival, Grace did have a couple of restless nights. The first night was after she had been in the car having traveled all the way from Southern Oregon, having had a Vet visit during the day in Eugene, having had been handed off to us in Portland at the Jantzen Beach Mall, and then having traveled another three (3) hours to Port Orchard, WA where she found her new home. The following night she was better and every since, she has been at home with us. Based on her self-confidence & out going personality, we know that Grace was well loved in her former life!

Grace is well behaved at the dinner table, will slow down when she is told she is eating too fast, knows her basic commands and does not roll excessively in the sand. Her leash training is work in progress and she probably will begin agility training to channel her energy and her inquisitive mind.

We can’t remember exactly when we got Grace and we can’t really imagine life without her. She has brought us much laughter and nothing compares to when she lets out a satisfied "grunt." Thanks to everyone at Golden Bond for the work you do.
