Golden Bond Rescue of Oregon

Ah, Gabby (#1823). Our first foster. She was weary of everyone, and us being new to the scene with Golden Bond, we didn't know what to do. Her actions would be different depending on the place, situation, and people around. She was definitely a challenge!

After quite a few interested parties that wanted Gabby but saw her issues as more then they could handle, we decided to adopt her ourselves.

Every night, she sleeps between us as snug as a bug (we also have our full sized golden that sleeps next to the bed, and our cat that sleeps at the foot of our bed). We think she will always have people issues, but it's nothing that we can't handle.

We are breaking her shell down more and more each day. We feel the love she expresses and this home will always be hers, no matter what. That, and our full sized golden wouldn't know what to do with herself if she lost her little sister! She has helped us to be more patient, caring, and understanding people. Fostering has definitely been a rewarding experience and we can't wait to see what's next for us as fosters!
