My name is Bailey (formerly Rex #1942), and I was adopted on October 8th, 2009. They think I am about three years old, but nobody really knows exactly.

I was found wandering around in Hillsboro with no collar or chip to identify who I really am. What I do know is that I am very kind and well mannered, and I just needed someone to love me.

At first I was a little intimidated by my new home, especially since they already had a big black dog named Buster. Buster is 125lbs, and since I am a smaller Golden I was afraid he might be mean, but Buster is very nice….maybe it is my pretty eyes? As soon as I discovered his stash of toys and a warm bed, I was home!

Walking around the neighborhood and running in the park are really fun too. Our neighborhood has lots of large, older trees with lots of squirrels. I like squirrels, and I will even stand on my back two legs just like a human to get a closer look. Wandering the streets is very difficult and no one (human or animal) should have to look for a home.

I am a very lucky dog that someone found me, loves me, and that I am now part of a family…..since that is all I ever wanted.
