Earl #1959

Adopted November 28th, 2009

1959_earl_1Hi! It's Riley (formerly Earl #1959)! I'm a happy boy now! I was a stray, so I'm not saying much about my former life. They think I'm about 7 years old. I am pretty demure and quiet. I use my sad eyes to my advantage - they get me lots of attention!

Everyone thinks I am Mr. Perfect, but I proved them wrong with a little counter-surfing! I'm normally such a well-mannered boy that they first blamed the missing chicken breasts on the cats! Boy, am I sneaky!! Next was a loaf of sourdough bread, and they thought my golden brother, Tucker, stole that one! Unfortunately, I couldn't contain myself one day, when my dad was making a sandwich. I tried to steal the loaf of bread when he turned to the pantry. Let's just say, I was caught "red pawed!" I think my opportunities have been severely limited -- they are really careful to not leave anything within my reach on the counter now. Drats, I really blew it!

I love my stuffed toys, and always run to bring one of them to who ever comes through the door! I think they like it, because everyone tells me I'm such a good boy! My tail wags constantly, because I'm so happy! Sometimes they think they should have named me "Shadow" because I follow my mom everywhere. I'll follow my dad, too, if my mom isn't home.

1959_earl_2I am my family's third Golden Bond Rescue adoption. Tucker is still here, and he's 9 years old. He's pretty pushy and wants all the attention, but I'm getting more & more assertive about getting my fair share, too! We have two cats that I totally ignore. They tell me that's a good thing. I have a human sister, Lisa, who just came home for break from college. She wants to steal me, when she graduates and gets her own place! My brother, Kevin, is in High School and he's my buddy! We spend lots of time playing on the floor together!

Thanks to Golden Bond Rescue for rescuing me! And, special thanks to Patsy & Howard for fostering me, and for telling my mom (Jeanie) that she just had to come meet me!

XXOO,
Riley
