BOOMER

Happy St. Patricks day! Today marks the one-month anniversary of the date we brought Boomer into our household, and already he has added great happiness to our lives.

We knew all along that Boomer had a sweet and affectionate disposition, but we have been pleasantly surprised to find out how well-behaved and obedient he is. He knows and obeys basic commands (sit, lie down, stay come, heel) and is calm around people, children and other dogs. Today we took him for a walk through downtown Bend on a leash for the first time, and he was a perfect gentleman the whole time. He is also an excellent well-behaved car traveler. We are looking forward to taking him along on our picnics and fishing trips this summer.

Boomer himself seems to be healthy and enjoying his new home. He has continued to slim down (I'd guess he is down to 85 pounds) and his capacity for exercise has increased noticeably. We take him for two short walks and one longer walk daily.

As you can see from the enclosed photos, Boomer is a very handsome fellow and attracts compliments where ever he goes. The photo of Bommer alone shows him on his "exectutive pad" in my office, where his principal roles are shredding my papers and barking at whoever comes to the door, both of which are duties he carries out with enthusiasm and dedication.

Many many thanks again to Golden Bond for rescuing and caring for Boomer and making it possible for this wonderful dog to come into our home and hearts. He is truly a delight in every way.

Warm regards,

Bruce and Sharon
