2009 Calendar Photo Submissions

Don't wait! Start early! Time flies! If you want to see your Golden featured in the 2009 calendar, you've got to send us pictures! We are now accepting digital photos (1600x1200 or higher resolution) for the 2009 calendar until May 1, 2008.

Here are the entry requirements, followed by some suggestions for taking that "perfect" shot for the calendar.

General Contest Photo Submission Guidelines

• Entries must be Golden Bond Rescue dogs. There may be other dogs in the picture, but at least one dog must be a Golden Bond adoptee.
   
• No humans; pets only.
   
• No year-to-year repeats (if your dog is in the 2008 calendar, you'll have to wait until 2010).
   
• If you have submitted pictures of your dog before but haven't made the calendar, please send us some new shots. Don't give up! This could be your year. Isn't your dog worth it?
   
• Include a letter with your Golden's name, date adopted, age when adopted, and a brief background history. We'll use this information to write the caption that goes with your picture. Don't worry about your writing, we'll do the editing.
   
• Digital photos that are wider than they are tall (landscape style) are preferred due to the calendar design.
   
• Digital camera photos, in focus, with resolution as high as the camera allows. No JPEG compression if possible, but just about any format is OK if resolution is high (3+ megabytes uncompressed per photo). Minimize shadows in the photos where possible.
   
•  Action photos are preferable, where the Goldens are doing their favorite activity.
   
•  Limit of four photos per family, one will be chosen for the contest per family, two may be used for each month in the calendar.

• Since high resolution photos are the best to work with relative to calendar formatting, but can be too large for emailing, please send a CD (or 1X DVD) of your four photos to:

• Photo Contest voting will start June 15, 2008. The Contest voting will end on June 30, 2008. Watch the Golden Bond website for information.
   
• Photos will be assigned a number based on the approximate order of arrival.
   
• Each family can vote for their 18 favorite photos. The photo that receives the most votes will be featured on the calendar cover.
