Hi, everyone. My name is Chester. I'm a 7 year old boy now with a new
family. I have some story to tell you. The Golden Bond Rescue is an
excellent organization. They are very good at finding a perfect home for
each dog. My case is a good example. So listen to my story.

This family that I'm with now lost a very nice 14 year old male retriever
mix dog 9 months ago. They were really devastated. Not only that a female
dog, Silly, that was left to be the only dog at home started a health
problem due to her grieving. The Golden Bond found the good match for the family. I'm making Mom very very happy having me. And Silly's health problem disappeared right after I arrived to this new home. She is happy because she now has a new doggy friend. I'm a healer !!!

Mom and Dad really seem to think I'm very smart which is true. I'm also very serious about retrieving. I know what to bring when, to whom and for what. I can bring a pillow when it's a bed time. I can bring floppy disks for Mom to fix her computer. I can bring my food or water bowl when I'm thirsty or hungry. I can bring a note pad and a pen for Mom when she needs them. I can bring a dog training book when I like to have a training session.

I now have my own bed and sleep there besides Mom. My new doggy friend, Silly, and I also have a doggy couch that we sleep on in the afternoon together in the living room. We also look out the windows from there, too, to make sure if anyone is coming. The other day Dad brought me a special doggy couch just for me from a garage sale. I really like being on it and watch TV together.

I get to play a lot of fetches everyday. I'm getting better at it. Mom throw
a ball almost 100 times everyday in the back yard. Gee, she makes me tired. A forest and a beach are near the house. So we go there often. I go to the top of a hill and drop a tennis ball. The ball rolls down and I go get it. I
can do this over and over all by myself. Dad doesn't even need to throw it
for me.

My doggy friend, Silly, wasn't nice to me first but now she really likes me.
Now she even brings me a toy. And we enjoy barking at things together
whatever they are. It makes us feel macho and protective. But I used to make a mistake and bark at Dad when he came home. Ooops. But now I know the sound of Mom's car and Dad's car.

I'm supposed to attend an obedience class that is starting soon. I'm so
excited. I know I really need one because I don't know anything. I'm willing to go all the way to the top and learn a lot of difficult things. I like to
impress myself to a lot of people.

Gee, you can't believe how much exciting stuff is happening to me right now. I don't even want to sleep. But sometimes I get sleepy. So I have to sleep for a few seconds while I'm sitting or standing. Mom felt sorry for me doing that. So she bought a fancy crate for me. But I don't like being in a crate. I used to be in a kennel all the time before I got to The Golden Bond. So this new fancy crate Mom bought is sitting there empty for now. Mom doesn't mind. But I'm willing to learn to like it someday.

Oh, I'm not supposed to say this but I want to tell you. I was served an
Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day. It was delicious !!!

Well, it looks like I get to stay here for the rest of my life. I really
thank Golden Bond staffs for making a smooth transition and finding a new
family for me. The Golden Bond is really good. So let people know about it.
A lot of unfortunate dogs and families that are looking for companionship
with dogs can benefit from it. I'm telling you.
