Toby #1014

Crossed the Rainbow Bridge August 1, 2005

Toby #1014It is with much sadness for me to tell you that our boy Toby (#1014) crossed the rainbow bridge Monday night 8/1/05. He had not been feeling well for the past couple of weeks and we had him into the doctors. Monday his breathing was irregular and he started having small seizures. I took him back to the doctors, she said his heart was enlarged and there wasn't much they could do for him. Although we know he is in a much better place, we miss him so much.

Janine and I would like to write a story about him and send it in, to put on the website. We just need a little time to get our thoughts together. He is so special to us and we are blessed to have had him in our life.

Thank you for your time. I'll be in touch.

Sincerely,
Nedia

Adopted September 9, 2004

Toby (#1014) has gone home to Gresham with Janine and Nedia and their two golden girls, Mackenzie and Mikalah. Toby's foster mom, Debra reports that, when Nedia and Janine came to meet him, Toby was immediately so excited and comfortable with them. He was licking them over and over — which he does not usually do! He was ready to go and got right in the back of the car with his new golden friends. (Foster mom had a little talk with him that morning to explain who was coming and why. She was having her own tears at the thought of seeing him go.)

Janine and Nedia told us that they had read on our website about Senior and Special Needs dogs. "Although we know that any of the goldens would be a wonderful addition to our family, we both had strong feeling for Toby's story and felt that all our needs could be met by having him in our lives and being a part of our family."

Janine and Nedia, we at Golden Bond salute you for extending your hearts and home to one of our golden oldies. He will bring you all much love and devotion.

Update October 4, 2004

Golden Bond family & friends,

Hello... it's me Toby! I have been with my new family for 1 month today. We are all doing great! I love my two sisters Mackenzie and Makalah and they love me. My Mom's are always telling me I am so handsome and that I am a really good boy. I eat good, sleep good and both of my ears are just about healed up. My new family and friends tell me I have a great personality, they love to listen to me snore and everyone laughs when I burp! I meet everyone at the door with a kiss when they come in the house. We have playtime every night after dinner. We all run around barking, laughing, chasing each other. It's like a free for all, toys all over and hair flying! Mom vacuums a lot!! After we get done playing we get our hair brushed and just lay back and relax. I am really starting to like that. I usually fall asleep. I really like it here and I know Janine and Nedia just love me so much and tell me how lucky they are to have me. They wanted me to say thank you to everyone at the Golden Bond especially my foster parents, Deborah and Mike for letting us become a family. I have found a very loving home forever. I'll keep in touch and send you a picture soon.

Loves to everyone,
Toby
