Chloe, formerly Goldie (#49) Crossed the Rainbow Bridge April 7, 2011

Yesterday our "Bond Girl" and Golden Bond alum Chloe (Goldie #49) passed the "Rainbow Bridge". Chloe was one of your early success stories, see web announcement from 2000. Volunteer Chris helped my husband and me find Chloe. We were never certain of her age since she was found wondering near OHSU in 2000 without a chip. We could not have been matched with a better friend. She came into our lives with manners and a gentle disposition. She enjoyed her daily walks and occasional trips to the coast and Sunriver. Chloe became a great companion to our son and more recently our daughter. We are all better for knowing Chloe and having her in our lives.

Chloe's Adoption Story

Chloe, formerly Goldie (#49) Adopted June 19, 2000

Found by a Good Samaritan wandering the streets of SW Portland and released to Golden Bond, this lucky dog was adopted by Raymond and Karen in June of 2000. She has been a great addition to their lives — in fact they don't recall life before Chloe! Karen is a student, so she spends time at home each day diligently studying to become a nurse. Chloe tries her best to get Karen to play rather than study by bringing her toys and socks. A daily walk to the top of Mt. Tabor with Liz and Jasper (a GB volunteer and alumni) is a welcome diversion, rain or shine. Chloe at one time was afraid of riding in the car, but we are happy to report that she has overcome that fear and now can hardly wait to jump in for rides. She's been to California and has explored lots of places in Oregon.
